Coming Home to Self

A 6-month online therapeutic journey for women across BC to reclaim a sense of self that no longer depends on the world’s approval.

You’ve learned to disappear to stay connected.

Since you were young, you’ve been a master of adaptation. You learned that the safest way to belong was to be what others needed you to be. But over time, that adaptation became a erasure.
Now, you look in the mirror and realize you don’t actually know who is looking back. Your sense of worth isn’t held by you—it’s held by the people around you. When they are happy, you are okay. When they are gone or disappointed, your foundation crumbles.
Many women learned early in life to stay connected by adapting, pleasing, or overriding their own needs rather than developing a clear sense of self.

This struggle often shows up as painful conclusions about oneself and one’s life, such as:

  • “I can’t find a healthy relationship because I’m not good enough.”
  • “All my relationships end the same way.”
  • “People always leave once they really know me.”
  • “I don’t know who I am or what I want.”
  • “I feel like I’m wasting my life.”

Left unexamined, these patterns can lead to chronic anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion, difficulty sustaining healthy relationships, and a growing sense of being lost or unfulfilled.

Who is the Group For?

This group helps participants understand how these patterns formed, recognize where they continue to abandon themselves, and develop the awareness and tools needed to build self-acceptance, self-trust, and a sense of identity that no longer depends on external validation.

This group is a good fit for women who:

  • Struggle with people-pleasing, self-doubt, or fear of disappointing others
  • Feel unsure of who they are outside of relationships, roles, or approval
  • Notice that their mood and self-worth rise and fall based on how others respond to them
  • Have a strong internal critic
  • Are curious about how childhood and early relationships shaped their sense of self
  • Want to build a more compassionate, accepting relationship with themselves
  • Are open to reflection, emotional work, and group process

What We’ll Work Through Together:

Women may be drawn to the group if they see themselves in the following pain points:

You’ll Leave With:

Through the group participants will be invited to make a shift from externally sourced worth to internally sourced worth. It’s about changing where worth, safety, and identity are sourced from.

By the end of the group, participants will:

What Participants Can Expect in the Sessions

The group is attachment-informed and relational, with a focus on lived
experience rather than advice.

Sessions include:

  • Guided exploration of relationship patterns and where self-abandonment
    shows up
  • Psychoeducation that helps participants understand why these patterns formed
  • Experiential exercises that build awareness of needs, boundaries, and self-override
  • Group dialogue that allows participants to practice staying connected to
    themselves while in relationship
  • Tools to support self-acceptance and self-worth that do not rely on external
    validation

The group offers a corrective relational experience. It is not a support group, it is
a contained therapeutic process.

FAQs

While the circle is led by a registered therapist and includes therapeutic support, it’s not the same as individual therapy. This is a structured support group that blends guided reflection, education, and community connection. Many people find it a powerful complement to their personal therapy.

That’s completely okay. You’re never required to share more than you’re comfortable with. Some participants speak openly; others prefer to reflect quietly. There’s no pressure—just a safe space to show up as you are.

We encourage participants to attend all sessions if possible, as the group builds momentum and trust over time. That said, we understand that illness or unavoidable conflicts happen. You’ll still get a lot out of the experience, even if you miss a session or two.

No, we’re not able to offer refunds for missed sessions. Your registration reserves one of only 12 spots in the circle, and we ask each participant to commit to the full process. That said, we understand that life happens—if you miss a session or two, you’ll still benefit from the group journey, and we’ll support you in staying connected.
