Registered Clinical Counsellor

Amy Dahl

Individual Adults

My journey to becoming a clinical counsellor was shaped by my own experiences of grief and loss. I lost my mother to a terminal illness and my father to substance use. Through my own healing journey, I experienced the power of having someone walk alongside me with compassion, understanding, and hope. That experience inspired me to become the person I once needed.

Today, I support individuals navigating grief and loss, substance use, complex trauma, anxiety, and depression. I believe healing happens within a safe, genuine, and collaborative relationship where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Watching my clients rediscover themselves and recognize their own strength is the most rewarding part of what I do. Every person I meet teaches me something, and it is a privilege to be part of their healing journey.

It would be an honour to walk alongside you as you heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself.

How We’ll Work Together

My counselling style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, but I also believe growth sometimes requires gentle challenge. If I notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck, I will invite you to explore them with honesty and curiosity.

In our sessions, we will:

Understand what lies beneath the pattern: We explore the emotional pain, loss, trauma, or unmet needs that may be driving the ways you cope.
Build safety within yourself: We work with both your emotions and nervous system so you can respond to difficult experiences with greater awareness and choice.
Work together openly: I welcome your feedback throughout our work because therapy is not something I do to you—it is something we do together.
