Coming Home to Self

Beneath the story you inherited, there is a woman waiting to emerge.
This weekend, you’ll finally meet her.

An Invitation

For women ready to stop living inside the old story — and come home to who they actually are.

The Quiet Knowing

There is a version of your life that feels just out of reach

Not dramatically — you can’t always name what’s missing. But there is a quiet knowing that you are not living as fully as you could be. That something keeps holding you back from the things you most want.
You stay where you are — in the relationship that’s fine but not quite right, in the version of yourself that’s acceptable but not quite free, in a life that fits but doesn’t sing.
You worry, almost constantly, what people think of you. You adjust yourself before you’ve even spoken — softening your opinion, shrinking your need, making yourself easier to be around.

You are not too much. But you have been living as though you are.

This is not a character flaw. It is not weakness. It is what happens when you learn, very early, that love is conditional — and build your whole life around never losing it again.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

It goes back further than you think.

Somewhere in the accumulation of your early life, you absorbed a verdict about your own worth. Sometimes through cruelty. Sometimes through absence. Through love that felt conditional, or approval that had to be earned.

You took that verdict on as truth. It became the lens through which you see yourself. The quiet ceiling on what you believe you deserve. The voice that says not quite when you reach for something real.

But you’ve been living inside a story about yourself that was never true.

You don’t need to be fixed. You were never broken. You need to meet the self that has been waiting, all this time, beneath the story.

Is This Retreat for You?

You might be ready for this if…

You never quite feel good enough, even when the evidence says otherwise

You don’t feel worthy of being treated well — and sometimes accept less than you deserve

You worry, almost constantly, what people think of you

You fear abandonment in a way that quietly shapes everything you do

You keep yourself small, invisible, or hidden — even from yourself

You are ready to understand where all of this came from — and finally set it down

You don’t reach for more because you don’t quite believe great things come to you

Your sense of worth rises and falls based on how others see you

You don’t voice your needs or boundaries because you’re afraid of taking up too much space

You’re afraid to love fully because you’re afraid of being hurt

You sense you are not living the life that is actually available to you

About Claire

Registered Clinical Counsellor · Director, Safe Haven

Claire De Boer has built her practice around the belief that the most important work a woman can do is come home to herself.

For more than a decade she has sat with women — from their mid-twenties through their fifties and beyond — navigating the most intimate questions of identity and worth.

Her work is attachment-informed and IFS-trained (Internal Family Systems), a leading-edge therapeutic model that understands the self as made up of different parts — and that healing happens when those parts are met with compassion rather than judgment.

This retreat is the work she was built for.

A Question Worth Asking

What Happens If Nothing Changes?

You keep abandoning yourself. Adjusting, softening, and shrinking just to keep everyone else comfortable.

You keep accepting less. In your relationships, in how you’re treated, and in what you allow yourself to want.

The life you want stays out of reach. Not dramatically. Just quietly. Year after year.

Maybe you are thinking: It’s too late for me. I’ve been this way too long.

But a decade of sitting with women has taught me otherwise. It is never too late to stop abandoning yourself. The only thing harder than doing the work is looking back ten years from now and realizing you didn’t try.

What Becomes Possible

Imagine leaving Sunday evening feeling something has fundamentally shifted.

You hold your head a little higher. There is a lightness in your chest. You have shed an old skin. The story that said you weren’t quite enough, weren’t quite lovable, or weren’t worth the space you take up has loosened its hold.

By the end of the weekend, you will:

01

Understand your roots

See exactly where your old story came from — and realize why it was never the truth.

02

Catch the old patterns

Notice the old story the moment it arises, rather than living inside it blindly.

03

Shift from collapse to compassion

Gain practical tools to respond to self-doubt without shrinking or hiding.

04

Own your worth

Develop an embodied sense of value that does not depend on anyone else’s approval.
