I believe healing is a journey that occurs in the mind, body and spirit. It is not a place to “get to,” but rather a path of evolving.
At its core, therapy is often about grief. Grief over relational heartbreak and loss, disconnection from ourselves, and the heavy weight of unmet expectations.
In my first decade as a therapist, I combined textbook theory and my own experiences of loss with tried and tested modalities to support my clients. Now, following the sudden death of my husband, I find myself wanting to work at a deeper level. This practice continues to evolve and follows wherever my clients lead, but typically blends spiritual awareness with breathwork and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I am especially drawn to working with people who sense that there is more beneath the surface of their struggles. They may feel stuck in recurring patterns, disconnected from themselves, navigating profound loss, or longing for a greater sense of meaning and wholeness. Together, we create space not only to understand what has happened, but also to listen to what the mind, body, and spirit may be asking for in the process of healing.

How We’ll Work Together
I am a companion and guide on your journey, and I care deeply about your growth and healing. In our space, we look at the bigger picture of your life through a wider, spiritual lens and get your body involved in the process.
In our sessions, we will:
– Meet your hidden parts with compassion: We look at the behaviours or habits that might be hurting you and treat them with love instead of judgment, understanding why they show up.
– Work through the body: We track where your nervous system is stuck and use somatic awareness to release physical tension and emotional weight.
– Lovingly challenge you: Because I care deeply about your growth, I will gently call out the patterns that keep you playing small or staying hidden.

“I’m really thankful for Dr. Claire De Boer and how understanding she is during our sessions. She’s super careful not to push her own ideas, but instead, she asks the right questions to help you figure things out. Everything’s been great so far, and I’m excited for our next sessions.”
